Ash Scattering at Sea

Atlantis Memorials helps families honor and remember their loved ones with dignified ash scattering ceremonies and memorial services on San Francisco Bay.

We depart from our Sausalito dock and can travel to or under the Golden Gate Bridge before arriving at a more private location out of the wind for your ceremony.

We are proud to offer affordable pricing on our private yachts as well as customized services which may include music, video displays and light to full catering and beverage services.

Veteran Memorials

Atlantis Memorials has over 20 years experience with Veteran’s Memorial Services and Ash Scattering for Military Families at sea.

There are service options available which allow you to personalize and respectfully honor the wishes of your loved one and also meet the needs of the family.

Ash Scattering Pricing

Standard Ash Scattering – $1250 (1.5 hour memorial cruise)
*plus docking fee

Unattended Ash Scattering – $350

You can choose a yacht according to the needs of the occasion. We can arrange for small private ceremonies or accommodate ash scattering and memorial services at sea for larger groups of up to 150 guests.

Our Yachts are Coast Guard inspected and certified.

They are clean, comfortable and safe.

Dedication and Experience

Captain Gerry Robertson is founder of Atlantis Memorials and Empress Events located in Sausalito, San Francisco. Gerry has more than 40 years experience on the water, is a native San Franciscan, and has been sailing the San Francisco Bay and Pacific West Coast since the young age of 5!

His experience on the water can help you to find the ideal location to say goodbye to your love one in a dignified way.

At Atlantis Memorials, we have an extraordinary crew and support staff who are attentive to our guests and their needs.We work tirelessly to make sure the occasion for your loved one comes together in an intimate and
respectful manner.

  • Ash Scattering Cruise

    Our standard Memorial Service can last anywhere between an hour and an hour and a half from boarding to return. We offer intimate cruises that accommodate up to 6 people and larger options for up to 25 family members and friends. The yacht leaves from our Sausalito dock and cruises up to or beyond the Golden Gate Bridge to a private location, out of the wind, where the memorial service can be conducted.

  • Unattended Ash Scattering

    For those who cannot to travel to the San Francisco Bay area or are looking for a more economical option.

  • Extended Service

    You may wish to extend your event by adding a bay tour to the memorial. Your tour might include the San Francisco waterfront, Alcatraz, Angel Island, the Bay Bridge, AT&T Park or another area you would like to visit. This will add time for reflection, a longer memorial or a relaxed catered meal.

  • US Coast Guard Inspected

    Our yachts, the Empress and the Golden Gate, are US Coast Guard inspected and certificated vessels.

  • Global Positioning System

    The exact Global Position System (GPS) location coordinates are recorded and provided to the family on the Certificate of Disposition.
